This document is a product and legal review draft. It is not final legal advice and should not be published until reviewed by counsel.
What Mimic Trade Does
Mimic Trade helps a user prepare an editable order draft using information from a visible trade-share post. The source post can include market, venue, direction, entry or snapshot price, leverage, take-profit, stop-loss, margin mode, trade size visibility, and performance context.
The draft may attempt to pre-populate trade information from the source post or from current venue data. Prefilled fields can be incomplete, stale, unavailable, or different from what the source author used. The acting user must verify the underlying market, venue, direction, size, leverage, collateral, fees, and every other trade-related field before confirming.
Mimic Trade is not automatic copy trading. It does not create a standing authorization, managed account, trading program, advisory relationship, portfolio-management relationship, or future-follow relationship. Each order requires the acting user to review and confirm the draft separately.
What The User Must Review
Before confirming a mimic draft, the acting user should review:
- Current market price, mark price, index price, spread, depth, and liquidity.
- Direction, order type, amount, leverage, margin mode, collateral, venue, and
market.
- Take-profit and stop-loss values, if any.
- Liquidation estimate, fees, funding rates, gas, minimum order size, minimum
quote notional, and route limits.
- Available wallet balance, venue collateral, open orders, open positions, and
venue account status.
- Whether the trade is live, paper, open, closed, stale, verified, or
user-provided.
- Whether the source trade is still open and recent enough to be relevant.
- Whether the trade is available in the acting user's jurisdiction and account
state.
Pocket may refresh some data before confirmation, but the user remains responsible for deciding whether to proceed.
Execution Differences
The acting user's result can differ from the source author's result. Differences can happen because of market movement, liquidity, slippage, latency, partial fills, fee changes, funding rates, minimum notional limits, leverage caps, margin requirements, liquidation, wallet or venue restrictions, network conditions, venue downtime, order rejection, or manual edits to the draft.
Take-profit and stop-loss settings are not guaranteed. They can fail to trigger, fill at a worse price, partially fill, or be rejected by a venue. Leverage can amplify gains and losses, including the risk of losing the entire margin posted to a position.
User Control And Responsibility
The acting user can edit, decline, or abandon a mimic draft. No source author can trade for the acting user through Pocket. Pocket does not guarantee that a mimic draft is suitable, profitable, timely, available, or executable.
Following a user, viewing a post, saving a draft, or mimicking one trade does not authorize future trades, automatic updates, automatic closes, automatic rebalances, or recurring submissions.
By confirming a mimic draft, the acting user is making their own trading decision and instructing their own wallet, venue account, or configured signing surface to take action.
Social Content Risk
The source post may be stale, incomplete, inaccurate, manipulated, promotional, or based on paper trading. The source author may have different balance, venue access, leverage limits, fee tier, latency, execution quality, risk tolerance, jurisdiction, and financial circumstances.
The source author may receive rewards, referrals, fee shares, promotional benefits, or other incentives connected to posted trades, mimic activity, trading volume, or user referrals. These incentives can create conflicts of interest.
Author statistics, win rates, PnL, follower counts, reactions, ranks, and comments are not advice and do not predict future results.
